In professional tennis the player that wins the match usually does so due to playing more winning shots than their opponent. In amateur tennis, the winner usually wins because they make less mistakes than their opponent.

Often times in successful businesses and teams, making less mistakes than those around you can also lead to success.

Successful businesses are those with less customer complaints than their competitors, they are teams with less hiring mistakes. Successful business are those with less internal employee conflict, and successful teams are those with less delivery issues. Making less mistakes can have huge long term impact and is much improve on then trying to get great at big wins.

Businesses, teams, and leaders that focus on reducing errors and mistakes put themselves in great positions to succeed.
